Help for SPLnet™ Model 100–Email/SMS Messages

Configuration Menu: Click to be brought to the configuration menu of the Model 100.

Help: Click to go to the main Model 100 Help menu (opens in a separate window).

Status: Select Disabled or Enabled. Factory default is Disabled.

Submit: Click Submit to send the Status changes to the system.

SMTP Server Configuration

Address: Enter the SMTP server address, up to 31 characters. Factory default is blank.

Port Number: Enter the port number, up to 4 characters. Common port numbers are 25 and 587. Factory default is 25.

Use Authentication: Select No or Yes. Factory default is No.

Authentication User Name: Enter the authentication user name, up to 31 characters. Factory default is blank.

New Authentication Password: Enter an authentication password between 1 and 31 characters. The new password cannot be blank. Factory default is blank.

Submit: Click Submit to send the Server Configuration changes to the system.

Message

From Name: Enter the from name, up to 31 characters. Factory default is SPLnet.

From Address: Enter the from address, up to 31 characters. Factory default is SPLnet@example.com.

Recipient Address 1: Enter the first recipient address, up to 31 characters. Factory default is blank. For more information on sending SMS text messages refer to "Sending SMS Text Messages" below.

Recipient Address 2: Enter the second recipient address (if applicable), up to 31 characters. Factory default is blank. For more information on sending SMS text messages refer to "Sending SMS Text Messages" below.

Message Subject: Enter the subject of the message, up to 31 characters. Factory default is SPL Report.

Message Body: Enter the body copy of the message, up to 63 characters. The trigger SPL value is automatically added to end of message body. Factory default is Measured level is.

Submit: Click Submit to send the Message changes to the system.

Message Trigger

Threshold (dB): Enter a number in dB between 0 and 160 for the threshold. Factory default is 94.

Measurement Type: Select SPL Fast, SPL Slow, Leq 1 sec, Leq 10 sec, Leq 1 min, Leq 5 min, Leq 10 min, Leq 15 min, Leq 30 min, Leq 1 hr, Leq 8 hr, Leq 24 hr, Leq Continuous, User Ln, L1, L10, L50, L90, or Peak C. Factory default is Leq 5 min.

Minimum Message Interval: Select 1 min, 10 min, 30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr, 4 hr, or 8 hr. Factory default is 1 hr.

Submit: Click Submit to send the Message Trigger changes to the system. This resets Minimum Message Interval timer.

Test Message: Click Send to send a test message. Status must be enabled for test message to be sent.

Error Status: Shows --- or current error. See Configuration Menu Help for a description of all error messages.

Clear Error Message: Click to clear error message.

Sending SMS Text Messages: To send an SMS text message set the recipient address using the chart below. This is only a partial list of providers. Contact your wireless provider for details.
